Heathrow Airport By Coach: Heathrow Airport has a central bus station which is located at terminal 1,2 and 3 next to the London underground (subway) station for the terminal 1,2 and 3. This central bus station is well signed posted from all terminals and can be reached easily from terminal 1,2 and 3 using walkways linked from the terminals. From this central bus station it will take 10 minutes to transfer to terminal. Getting to the Heathrow Airport central bus station from Terminal 4 you will need to transfer by Heathrow Express train which is free and run between terminal four underground station and terminal 1,2 and 3 tube station.

Security At Heathrow Airport:
Due to enhanced security measures checking in can take longer than it used to and it is advised that you arrive at the airport in plenty of time and allow extra time for security screening.
Check In Time:
•International flights – check in 3 hours prior to departure
•European flights – check in 2 hours prior to departure
•Domestic flights – check in 1 hour prior to departure
Cabin /Hand Luggage Allowance:
• Only ONE item of cabin luggage is allowed through security control: Luggage size – 56 centimetres by 45 centimetres (22 inches by 17.5 inches), 25 centimetres / 10 inches deep.
All items carried will be X-ray screened:
•Laptops and all other electric goods have to be screened separately. A laptop bag and ladies hand bag can be carried within a single cabin luggage and must be able to fit into your cabin luggage otherwise it will be regarded as an extra cabin luggage.
•Smaller electrical items such as camera / mobile phone can remain in the bag for screening.
•Pushchairs, wheelchairs and walking aids are permitted.
•Musical instruments are allowed.
Liquids / Drinks Allowance:
Only limited amount of liquids are allowed to carry through security control . This includes bottled drinks, cosmetics and toiletries, suntan lotion and fragrances.
The following restrictions apply to all liquids, food, creams, cosmetics, gels, pastes (such as toothpaste) and aerosols at security control:
• Liquid may only be carried in containers holding no more than 100ml.
• This container must be carried separately in a single transparent and re-sealable plastic bag and this bag must not greater than 20cm by 20cm (8 inch by 8 inch) and all liquid items must be fit inside the bag and the bag must be able to re-seal properly. You may be asked to taste baby food or milk at the security control.
• All plastic bags must be placed separately on the conveyor belt for screening at security control.
All liquid items larger than 100ml must be packed in hold luggage, otherwise these items will be confiscated. Passengers are allowed to travel with any amount of liquid items but must be packed into the hold luggage and checked in.
Exceptions can be made for baby food, milk and essential liquid medicine which are greater than 100ml. However you may will be asked to taste any liquid medicine or you will need to provide doctor letters as evidence that you need these medicine for your travel.
Items which are not allowed through security control:
You are not allowed to carry any sharp or pointed items in your cabin / hand luggage, which will be confiscated at security control and will not be return to you. This includes knives, scissors, corkscrews, razor blades, fork, cutlery, tools, hiking poles, cues, darts, catapults, hypodermic needles (unless require for medical reasons), replica guns, toy guns, sporting bats, non- safety matches and lighters.
However you are allowed only one cigarette lighter to carry for your personal use.
Duty free / Shopping after security control:
Anything you buy after security control or in the duty free shop can be taken on board, including wines, spirits, cosmetics, bottle water which are can be in sizes over 100ml.
The rules for connecting flights are different and some countries have introduce their own rules. If you are catching a connecting flight within EU all your purchases from duty free should be placed in a special sealed clear bags by the shop assistant.
However you are not allowed to bring any liquids over 100ml in Australia. Passengers travelling to USA and Canada are not allowed to carry in their cabin luggage any liquids over 100ml.

Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for exact cabin luggage allowances and take only one piece of hand luggage per person.
